Recent Licence bid support consulting includes:

  • Created bid book (including authoring certain sections) for Millicom International Cellular for 2nd mobile in Rwanda (current live project)
  • For Orascom Telecom Holding we created application for WiMAX / CDMA / broadband licence in their home market of Egypt. This involved creation of large bid book and financial modelling of detailed national deployment using 4 different technologies according to geotype and market segment. (auction ongoing)
  • Participation as subcontractor in major multi-region 3G spectrum auction in Canada (auction ongoing)
  • Authorship of bid book and valuation modelling for multi-factor single round auction for 2nd mobile licence in Qatar. (Compliant document but client bid low)
  • Wrote strategy, commercial sections and revenue projections for a 2G licence bid in Yemen (only formally compliant bid)
  • Wrote commercial sections and contributed to revenue projections for Hutchison 3G’s bid for Polish 3G licence (highest scoring bid for these factors)
  • Created financial model and business plan for Maltacom’s WiMAX 3.4GHz licence application in Malta (client won one of 3 licences out of 7 applicants)
  • Devised auction strategy and bid level for the winning bidder in [confidential country] 450MHz band auction (to be used for CDMA mobile and mobile broadband)
