A major Ventura Team client has just ordered the largest WiMAX deployment across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Our team helped their strategy and in key roles in their startup organisation.

Ventura Team has been developing all aspects of the roll out planning for a 750,000 customer broadband network.

Ventura's own startup now has 80k subscribers (residential on 100 meg symmetric).  We're advising others and doing it for ourselves!

Ventura Team is now working on its second NGN startup in the Gulf.

Paired versus unpaired spectrum analysis.  A very interesting thought piece by David Brown suggesting that mobile operators that deploy TD-LTE in unpaired spectrum to service the large screen (USB Dongle) market can do so more efficiently compared to mobile operators limited to paired spectrum, because of the spectral efficiency of unpaired technologies. Read more here.

80,000 subscribers in our own FTTH/broadband operator

Our Swedish startup has reached 80,000 subscribers with residential users enjoying 100 meg symmetric services and around 750,000 homes being passed overall with FTTX, xDSL and WiMAX. 

This underlines our pragmatic approach to helping utilities, operators and regulators as we are facing and conquering the same challenges as many of our clients. 

NETWORK SHARING

We are talking to a number of operators about network sharing.  We have experience of having managed the first network sharing project in mobile and the team is now working on optimising our approach.  

EMBEDDED MOBILE

Ventura worked with the GSMA to assess the market for non-handset devices to identify new growth opportunities for the mobile industry in embedded mobile.

The study identified the potential for significant new opportunities although there remain significant barriers in the form of value chain and application fragmentation. A summary of the key findings and proposed GSMA strategy can be found here.
